Coating options for how you use your boat

Pricing below fits most boats up to about 25 ft with gelcoat in good, polishable condition. If your boat has oxidation, chalking, or heavy defects, correction work may be required first and will be quoted separately.

~$40–$45/ft
Minimum: Typically $700+ (layout dependent)
  • • Wash & basic surface prep
  • • Light machine polish where needed
  • • 1-year rated ceramic coating on smooth gelcoat
  • • Tighter water beading & easier washing
  • • Ideal for maintained, non-neglected boats
Best if your boat already looks good and you want UV protection and easier cleanup through the season.

Most Popular

2–3 Year Marine Coating

A durable marine coating for boats that live in the water, see frequent use, or spend a lot of time in the Florida sun and salt.

Starting at
~$48–$55/ft
Minimum: Often $900–$1,200+ (size/layout dependent)
  • • Full wash & decontamination
  • • Machine polish to refine gloss
  • • 2–3 year rated marine ceramic on gelcoat
  • • Strong UV, salt, and stain resistance
  • • Pairs well with regular wash plans
Ideal for center consoles, bay boats, and cruisers that stay in the water and get used regularly.

Long-Term Protection

5-Year / Pro Marine Coating

Our highest level of ceramic protection for owners who want to lock in gloss and protection for the long haul.

Typical range
~$58–$70/ft+
Quoted after inspection (prep & condition dependent)
  • • Full wash, decon & multi-stage polishing
  • • Premium long-term marine ceramic coating
  • • Maximum UV, oxidation, and stain resistance
  • • Dramatic gloss & easier maintenance
  • • Ideal for newer boats or freshly restored gelcoat
Proper prep is everything. We often pair this with correction or restoration work first, then lock it in with a pro-grade coating.

Custom Coverage

Hull-Only & Topside-Only Options

Not every boat needs full coverage. We can focus coatings on hull sides, the topside, or key high-exposure areas that take the most abuse from sun, salt, and use.

  • • Hull-only ceramic coating options
  • • Topside / console & cap only
  • • Select interior hard surfaces (by request)
  • • Glass & metal coatings available as add-ons
Tell us what matters most — shine, easier washing, resale prep, or long-term UV defense — and we'll build the right coating plan around that.

Prep work & oxidation: what to expect

Ceramic coatings don't hide oxidation or defects — they lock in whatever the gelcoat looks like at the time of application. If your boat is dull, chalky, or heavily oxidized, correction or restoration is required first.

Many boats start with our detail & correction packages and then we apply the coating to protect the finish.

Optional coating add-ons

In addition to gelcoat coatings, we can apply marine-grade coatings to other high-wear surfaces for easier cleanup and longer-lasting protection.

  • Glass / windshield: Improved clarity and easier water spot removal
  • Metal / rails: Added corrosion resistance and easier cleanup
  • Non-skid areas: Specialized coatings for stain resistance while maintaining grip (available on select boats)

Add-ons are priced by surface area and access. We itemize them on your quote so you can choose what matters most.

Ceramic coating FAQs

How long does a ceramic coating actually last?

It depends on the product, how the boat is used, and how it's maintained. A “2–3 year” marine coating can last that long or more with proper care. We'll set expectations based on how you use your boat.

Do I still need to wash my boat regularly?

Yes. Coatings make washing easier and help prevent damage, but they don't replace maintenance. Many owners pair a coating with one of our wash plans to maximize the coating's real-world lifespan.

How long will you need my boat?

Smaller, well-maintained boats can sometimes be completed in a day. Larger boats or boats needing correction first may take one to several days depending on weather, access, and condition. We'll lay out timing before we begin.

Can you coat my boat where it currently sits?

In many cases, yes. Slip-kept and lift-kept boats can often be corrected and coated where they are if we have access to power and safe working space. Trailer-kept boats are usually the easiest.
