Gelcoat Restoration & Oxidation Removal Pricing

Mobile dockside boat detailing in Daytona Beach & Volusia County (and nearby Central Florida areas)

If your gelcoat looks dull, chalky, faded, or uneven, you need the right level of restoration. We price correction by boat size, oxidation severity, hull-only vs. hull and topside scope, access, and how many correction stages are needed.

Pricing note:

The per-foot pricing below is a starting point. All correction packages include Superior Wash & Wax. Wet sanding, final polishing, raft work, difficult access, and larger yacht layouts are quoted after inspection. You’ll always know the final price before we start.

Restoration pricing by boat size and scope

These starting rates focus on exterior gelcoat restoration. If you also need interior work, canvas cleaning, ceramic coating, or other add-ons, we can bundle them into one quote — see Cabin & Interior Detailing or ask for a combined quote.

Boats Under 26' Ft

Correction Starting Rates

For smaller boats where access and surface area are more predictable. Final pricing still depends on oxidation, layout, and whether you want hull only or hull and topside.

From $40/ft

1-Step Hull Only

Light oxidation and gloss enhancement

From $55/ft

1-Step Hull & Topside

Light correction across more gelcoat surface

From $55/ft

2-Step Hull Only

Moderate to heavy oxidation

From $70/ft

2-Step Hull & Topside

More complete restoration scope

  • • Superior Wash & Wax included
  • • Correction matched to oxidation level
  • • Protection applied to corrected surfaces
  • • Final price confirmed after photos or inspection
Best for center consoles, smaller cruisers, bay boats, and boats where the finish needs a real reset before maintenance.

Boats 26' Ft & Larger

Yacht & Larger Boat Correction

Larger boats scale differently. More surface area, tall topsides, marina access, ladders, flybridges, and in-water work all affect labor and risk.

From $55/ft

1-Step Hull Only

Light correction on larger boats

From $70/ft

1-Step Hull & Topside

More access, more surface area

From $70/ft

2-Step Hull Only

Moderate to heavy yacht oxidation

From $85/ft

2-Step Hull & Topside

More complete large-vessel restoration

  • • Superior Wash & Wax included
  • • Built for larger surfaces and longer project timelines
  • • Accounts for ladders, tall angles, and marina logistics
  • • Written estimate before work begins
Larger yacht correction is restoration work, not a simple wash. We quote it with enough room to do the job carefully.

How we determine the right package (inspection process)

We don’t guess. We assess gelcoat condition, oxidation level, waterline staining, hull-only vs. hull and topside scope, swirl visibility, and access around rails, towers, hatches, tight areas, docks, lifts, and rafts. For many boats, a quick photo review works — for heavier oxidation we may do an in-person walkthrough at the marina or storage location.

If your boat is on a schedule (upcoming trip, season start, marina deadline), let us know early — our calendar fills up fast at the beginning of the season.

Included with correction

Superior Wash & Wax is built into every correction package

Before we protect the finish, the boat gets the prep and cleanup needed for restoration work: a deeper wash, mildew and stain attention where needed, compartments and head cleaning when part of the scope, brightwork/windows/isinglass dry-down, and wax or protection on the corrected gelcoat. That means the correction price is not just buffing - it already includes the cleanup and protection needed to finish the job properly.

Restoration pricing FAQs

Quick answers to common questions about oxidation removal, gelcoat correction, and pricing.

Are these prices exact or starting points?

They are starting points. Final pricing is confirmed after we review oxidation severity, boat size, hull-only vs. hull and topside scope, access, and whether sanding or extra polishing is needed.

Does correction pricing include a wash and wax?

Yes. All oxidation removal and correction packages include a Superior Wash & Wax so the boat is cleaned, corrected, and protected when the restoration work is finished.

What is the difference between hull only and hull and topside?

Hull only focuses on the exterior hull sides. Hull and topside includes the upper smooth gelcoat surfaces as well, which adds more labor, access work, and detailing time.

When is wet sanding needed?

Wet sanding is reserved for severe oxidation, failed gelcoat surfaces, or areas where compounding alone will not restore clarity. We quote sanding after inspection because severity varies heavily from boat to boat.
